- "I am just a simple dancer"

Introduction
Caerwynn Royce is the redheaded, green eyed leader of the Dune Sea Desperadoes. Her declared profession is as a 'simple' Dancer and business woman, having received training in all the dances licensed in the Galaxy and Managing Director of Dune Sea Enterprises. She is also adept with the use of pistols and vibro knucklers, her slim lithe body a testament to the physical demands made on it. Caerwynn speaks with the soft lilt of the Erifeians, hinting at a good singing voice. Her natural intelligence and sharp wits have helped her to survive in an underworld of villains and traitors.
Early Years 22 BBY to 0 ABY
Childhood
22 BBY - Born on a planet she calls Erifei, believed to have been terra-formed some centuries before settlement, Caerwynn Royce was raised in a large family, of four older brothers. All where born with what Caerwynn always called a sixth sense, of varying degrees and capabilities. All living beings possess an aura, a belief held by her ancestors, some are gifted with the ability to see auras, her's becoming visible when her emotions are strong, be it love, happiness, sadness or anger. Later she was to realise that this is what others call the Force. Her childhood was happy and carefree, she displayed a distinct prowess for dancing and unarmed combat.
Most of her education was focused on these abilities, rather than academic studies in spite of her natural intelligence, she readily admits to knowing little about the history of her homeworld or where her people came from. She knew that the planet was settled after the original homeworld became uninhabitable. Just a few words remained in her memory from tales told to her by her mother, which she was to use to name her ships. Her memory was affected by an attack on her when she was almost 17 years old and for many years she could recall little of her childhood, or even the route home. What she thought were memories later proved to be her subconscious filling in the gaps.
Her Journey Starts
6 BBY - Perhaps in a search for individual love and attention that she subconciously felt was lacking in her large family, Caerwynn ran away from home to live with an older man. After one particular night of abuse, her face was destroyed and was rebuilt to his preferred taste. This was something that was to define her character and behaviour for many years. Catching him cheating on her with an even younger girl, after having suffered months of abuse at his hands, her fiery tempered ignited and she left him for dead, shooting him with his own pistol.
She still carries the pistol she named Beauty's Bane, both as a reference to the face she felt was no longer her's and the guilt associated with her first killing. Fearing her family would disown her, she fled by hitching a ride on a freighter bound for a distant planet. She earnt her passage by entertaining, dancing, singing and playing music. Caerwynn was able to earn a little side cash by gambling and card playing. By the age of seventeen she was already set on a peripatetic life, living on her wits, beauty and surviving by her fists.
6-4 BBY - Caerwynn was to roam across the system, meeting Araiya Berilac on her travels. The older woman proved a good friend and helped the younger woman come to terms with her early tragedy. A law student, Araiya tried to use family connections to discover the fate of Caerwynn's abuser. All she turned up were links to underworld activities, no medical or coroner's reports but Caerwynn remained convinced that she had killed him. Bar room brawls, adventuring hands and walks home down poorly light streets, meant that she still needed to defend herself and she learnt to use firearms as well as continuing to train in unarmed skills.
As she matured, Caerwynn became more and more aware of her sixth sense, she found she could occasionally plant images in people's minds, draw things towards her or push them away. Back on Erifei she would have received training in how to use it, but for want of better instruction, she focused on using it in dancing and defence and being aware of where she was in relation to the dance or combat. She was to become an unerringly good shot, able to quickly get the grasp of new weapons, a useful ability when the girls were planet-hopping every few months. However her tendency to rush headlong into trouble, an argument or fight removed any element of surprise a gun toting dancer may have.
Introduction to Slavery
- "Life here isn't so bad. A beauty like you could find it very.......rewarding"
- ~ Marilla, the Seraglio servant to Caerwynn
2 BBY - The girls arrived on Kimld 2 where they spent a year. Caerwynn was later to discover that this system was in the far reaches of Wild Space. She and Araiya both found work in a nightclub; the redhead famed for her dancing, the blonde for her singing. By this time Caerwynn was aware that she was addicted to gambling after she had lost her temper when she was cheated out of a large sum of money. She had also come to the attention of a procuror for the ruler of a neighbouring planet, Kimld 3. Slavery was endemic as where seraglios. On returning home one night, she was kidnapped. Araiya lost track of her for a year, searching fruitlessly.
1 BBY - Caerwynn had been in the seraglio for four months when she was finally able to escape during an attack by anti-slavers, KASM. True to her nature, she hurled herself into the cause, gaining rank (attaining the rank of Captain) and a small command of her own, having proved her capabilites both in combat and leadership, as well as the love of the leader. Whilst on a joint expedition to free slaves from appalling work conditions in a mineral mine, Jake was killed. Caerwynn was injured, her left thigh was shattered and it was months before she was able to dance again. Once she was well enough to travel, she returned to Araiya's homeworld in the hope of finding her friend there. She was restored to health by Araiya's family, who also tried to help her overcome her gambling addiction. Towards the end of 1BBY, she decided to set off on her travels again, risking a return to Kimld 2 to look for Araiya.
Piracy
0 BBY - She had been travelling a few weeks, leaving word where she could for her friend, when she hitched a ride with a freight convoy, her hair dyed black and tinted lenses hiding her green eyes, she believed she was well disguised and travelled under an assumed name. However, her disguise wasn't as good as she hoped and she was soon on her way back to Kimld 3 and the Varml's seraglio. Perhaps fortunately, the convoy was attacked by pirates and she was taken prisoner. Doing what she did best, dancing and gambling, her transportation wasn't as uncomfortable as it could have been. She charmed the crew and Captain enough to be allowed to join the crew, even received some basic pilot training. Flying was to become a passion, a vent for her temper.
By the first quarter of this year the pirate fleet where operating ever deeper into space, coming into contact with trading vessels in the Tingel Arm. As they progressed through the sectors, they were unwittingly heading towards conflict and increased military activity. The pickings were good, with military transporters plying the sectors, and they managed to avoid direct conflict with the warring factions, mostly. One convoy was better escorted than previous ones, the pirate fleet came under heavy attack, resulting in Caerwynn having to use the escape pod.
0 BBY To 3ABY
Arrival
Caerwynn drifted in space, until she was picked up by an Imperial gunboat escorting a supply ship to Yavin IV. Initially she was taken to the Imperial Medical Centre on Yavin IV. Without papers or any means to identify herself with she gave her real name, something she hadn't done for some time, she was transferred to the Imperial HQ on Tatooine where she was processed. Her extraordinary ability to spin a convincing story out of truths, half truths and failure to disclose all the facts, she was treated like the 'simple dancer' she claimed to be. Papers where granted and she was entered in to the Empire's database. From here she was taken to Mos Eisley where she was fortunate to meet two fellow Humans, Miffy Juno and Kaytra, they introduced her to Tuorn, the leader of the Order of the Desert Sun, otherwise known as DeSun. They offered her a safe haven and aid in getting herself settled in a new life.
Nailing Her Colours To The Mast
By late 0 BBY, Caerwynn was settled on Lok, in the city of Loka DeSuna, making her living out of hunting for hides and meat. In her spare time she practised with her pistols, danced a little and grew close to a fellow guild member. He encouraged her to concentrate on unarmed combat, the Teräs Käsi Arts. This style was so close to the combat she already knew that it didn't take her long to master it and she was finally beginning to feel at home. Always one for the under dog, combined with her anti-slavery views and distrust of authority, she was drawn into the Rebel cause. Her combat abilities stood her in good stead whilst battling against Imperial forces on Lok, where she won a couple of promotions, attaining the rank of Colonel in the field during the Battle of Lok, however it is believed that the official documents recording this were destroyed on the way to Alliance headquarters. During this time, she finally overcame her addiction to gambling, apart from the occasional turn on the lugjack machines. She was known to throw swoop races so that she wasn't tempted to take bets on winning.
{{ote| | |ote=I=will lay a trail of pearls, diamonds and exquisite clothes to my door | |oter=S=fim Aipiera to Caerwynn Royce on the day they met } }} ABY - The income from creature resources, the rarer and harder to find the better, had been enough to buy an old Z-95. She commenced pilot training with Crimson Phoenix, a Rebel squadron, furthering her allegiance with the Rebel forces. By mid-year the romance was over and Caerwynn was looking for a new direction. She decided it was time she learnt the dances that were popular in the galaxy, so she began formal training to obtain her Master Dancer certificate and to be licensed for public entertaining. Dancing and socialising with fellow Entertainers gave her the new direction she was looking for, she still used her TKA skills regularly, the fluid movements as balletic as some of her dances.right|Teräs Käsi Exponent. e also obtained her Master Pilot ticket, flying many sorties in the Kessel space sector as well as Deep Space. She managed to make contact with her old anti-slavery comrades in the Kimld system and began smuggling arms to them. Towards the end of the year she was to meet Safim Aipiera, the two were drawn to each other, even more so when he saved her life during a Black Sun attack on Theed.

tling on Tatooine
Be
ming disillusioned with life on Lok, the pair moved to Tatooine, looking for like minded individuals who also wanted to be free to pursue their own activities. Caerwynn had begun dancing for Jabba not long after arriving on Tatooine in 0 BBY, she was soon to make use of this connection.
By
he end of the year, the Teräs Käsi Arts were outlawed and Caerwynn was forced to use a pistol, her TKA abilities could only be practised out of the eye of the authorities. However, she still maintained her vibroknuckler, keeping it sharp and ready for use. She named it Bane's Beauty, reflecting her continuing insecurity over her appearance. So the Dune Sea seemed the ideal place to keep out of the way of the Empire. Accordingly, they approached Jabba and asked his permission to settle near the Palace, in return they offered him the position as patron of the guild. [[Imagthumbnail|left|Caerwynn and Safim's Wedding
1 ]]
- By the end of the year the Duneea Desperadoes (SE was established as a band of smugglers, aiding each other in trading and missions. Two months later, Caerwynn and Safim were married in the presence of Jabba, by a Bomarr monk. The pair helped to keep his trade routes open through out the Tatoo space sector, spreading further out as trade expanded.
The
wn of Outmn Yakta wasounded the same year, with Ani'L'o as e first Mayor. It was from here that they operated, gathering disaffected Imperials and Rebels who prefered to act outside the Alliance. The city was soon a haven for smugglers and spice dealers, as well as traders taking advantage of the lack of a good shops and malls in the region. No one questioned the other's allegiances too closely, smuggler band first, Jabba second and faction third. Profit was paramount. Caerwynn and Safim began smugglering, both to the Kimld system and anywhere within the galaxy that spice was in demand, altering weapons and armour, accessing databanks and terminals. During this time Araiya finally tracked her friend down and settled into life on Tatooine, growing close to Safim's brother, Efaun.[[Imagthumbnail|right|Bane's Beauty

- Caerwynn and Safim's often tempestuous relation resulted in yet another arguement, leading him to take a dangerous mission on Jabba's behalf, through Wild Space, he refused to tell Caerwynn of his destination. She pleaded with Efaun to accompany him, who agreed. All she knew was that the cargo was very valuable. Araiya and Caerwynn waved their men off, both fearing deep down that they wouldn't see them again.

2.7
Y Middle of the year and with no news from Safim and Efaun, Caerwynn and Araiya spent two months smuggling arms into the Kimld system and trying to trace the route back to Erifei, which was unsuccessful. On their return, they found that guild had all but collapsed without leadership and Caerwynn set about rebuilding it. A distorted, broken up comm message arrived, it seemed that the brothers had some kind of encounter in space and that where ever they were, they were needed and remaining there. Caerwynn was exhorted to move on with her life. Heartbroken and ridden with guilt for the pain Efaun's disappearance was causing to her friend, Caerwynn was struggling to come to terms with the loss. By the end of that quarter, her apparent suicidal attempts to engage in battle where worrying Araiya more than anything else. Fortunately the growing smuggler group was able to support both girls through this trying time and give them both a new focus. Caerwynn threw herself into building the group and everyday management of the town's cantina, the Dese Nights Cantina. Shalso had a divorce formally declared. Araiya spent her time either providing back up to the group's insurgents or keeping track of the group's financial affairs. It was through contacts made in the cantina that many lucrative, if not legal, business deals were made.

- Caerwynn still lead the group, which began expanding it's trading links through Dune Sea Enterprises. This is the official trading arm of the old smuggler group, with a legitimate front of importing and exporting goods throughout the galaxy. It was rumoured that the company also smuggled, supplied spice and spicers, aided escaping slaves and information gathering. Caerwynn hadn't forgotten the sixth sense she was born with and began to explore the ability she seemed to have, initially with the help of Val-Tane Ricaud. Having first met him when he sought out the Desperadoes for help in obtaining vital supplies for the Alliance, they found themselves being drawn closer together. He credited her with saving him from the Dark side, but as far as she was concerned, she only helped him see where his true allegiance lay.
Caer
nn maintained her links with the Rebel Alliance, along with the Rebel sympathisers in DSE. In order to obtain military grade bacta and arms, she lead a small guerilla unit, carrying out covert raids and gathering intel. Assisting in the infiltration of Dathomir Prison in order for the Alliance to attain information on the whereabouts of Cel'es Sunstorm. She was also arrested and tortured on suspicion of terrorism and detained overnight, before being released.

As she became more aware of her ability and possible force sensitivity, Caerwynn began to actively avoid doing anything to reveal her potential. Only when she was very tired would she slip up and inadvertently use her 'sixth sense'. It was on one such occasion, when she moved a glass towards herself in the cantina, that her possible skills were spotted by Val-Tane. Over the ensuing weeks, her denial of the existence of the Dark side, believing only in the Light and that all emotions were controlled and channeled by it, she realised she needed to learn more about Val-Tane's beliefs if their relationship was to survive. Her attempt to defend and protect him in an encounter with Barid Badar probably did more harm than good. As his training progressed in the Jedi Chapter House, she was unable to reach him. There was only one other to turn to help her unlock what she feared was impending madness, by helping her recover her missing memories; Barid Badar. Perhaps, with his aid she may find out who she really was and confront her past, knowing that by doing so she risked everything. Surprisingly, Barid provided her with the route home to Erifei, he also informed her that DNA tests on strands of her hair (which he had obtained by subterfuge) revealed that her people had originally come from Bunduki. On hearing from Barid that Cel'es Sunstorm was believed to be on Tatooine and in Outmian Yakta, Caerwynn tried to inform Val-Tane. Far from being in the Jedi Chapter House and deep in training, it was apparent he was freely able to move around. When images came to light of him at a starport with his former lover, the evidence of Val-Tane's betrayal was in her hands, she handed the images over to Cravon to do with as he saw fit.
[[Im
thumbnail|right|Ffyon, Daveth and Caerwynn RoyceAs C]]rwynn prepared for her journey home, a tall, quiet man found his way to Outmian Yakta. She had been performing in the Desert Nights cantina, songs of sadness and loss that had fitted in with her mood that night, when he bought her a drink. The two sat down together, both aware of a sadness in the other. Introducing himself as Cyrus Ives, in a soft Corellian drawl, it wasn't long before he had encouraged her to talk about herself. Cyrus revealed that he was going through a messy divorce and the two of them sat long into the night, comparing the perfidy of partners. Picking up on the hint that he was short of cash, he was offered a job as a security officer. With preparations for her journey moving forward, the dreams of darkness intensifying, she began to seek out the company of Cyrus, his taciturn nature was soothing to her shredded nerves.

Y Caerwynn returned to Erifei to confront the past and discover who she was. Accompanied by Cyrus who offered himself as a second pilot and bodyguard, she made the long journey home. With her memories gradually restored to her, she realised that the beliefs she thought she held, had been nothing more than fairytales taught to her as a child, the truth had been locked away by trauma. It was revealed that the intention had always been for her to enter the Teräs Käsi Order, which demanded a life of celibacy and contemplation, and the reason why she had fled Erifei. Having learnt how to suppress any outward manifestations of her ability, Caerwynn returned to Tatooine, stronger and more confident since she had been first encouraged to explore her 'sixth sense'. Her relationship with Val-Tane well and truly over, a new phase of her life had begun.

With a
ong space flight in common, Caerwynn and Cyrus became closer, he swore to care and protect her. This was soon tested when she was the target of an assassin, poisoned twice and close to death, it was Cyrus' presence that helped to pull her through. It wasn't long before he proposed and the two became engaged. However, Cyrus revealed that he had originally set out to meet her, with the intention of reporting back to CorSec. Stunned at first, she accepted his reassurances that he had left CorSec when his feelings for her became more than professional and that he had ceased sending reports back some time ago.

Alerted to the withdrawal of several hundreds of credits the city's Mayor, Cravonolfgang was ae to apprehend her. Recognising something of herself in the the waif and stray, Caerwynn took Erisey Casoona under her wing. Cyrus suggested adopting the girl and Caerwynn welcomed her into her family. Erisey proved to be adept at slicing, hacking and decryption, the girl was fascinated by droids, circuits and artificial intelligence.

The datadisks were passed to Erisey for decoding. The Empire somehow received the information that the disks were in Outmian Yakta, someone had betrayed them to the Inquisition. Erisey broke the data up into many bytes of data and hid them amongst the operating systems of various structures around the city.[[Image:thumbnail|left|Caerwynn in the electric chair, her red hair disguised with black dye

mperial occupation of Outmian Yakta began whilst they hunted for the data. Many were arrested, including Caerwynn, Erisey Casoona, Cravon Wolfgang, Draxia Shadat and Cyrus. Caerwynn was subjected to torture in an electric chair, along with injections of truth serum. She persisted in telling the truth, that she had no idea where the data was. Barid Badar conducted the torture, ordering the beating and execution of Cyrus in order to try and break her. Caerwynn held to her story, telling the truth. xecution order. The prisoners still being held were taken to the city centre. On the way there, Barid told Caerwynn that Cyrus was in fact alive, having escaped from his guards just before boarding a ship to Kessel. Val-Tane Ricaud, with a small retinue appeared in the city centre, holding the information that the Empire were searching for. He bargained for the prisoners' lives in exchange for the information and the life on a captured Imperial officer, sadly not in time to save Draxia Shadat, who was beheaded by Barid.
There
llowed a period of recovery for Caerwynn, firstly on the Alliance medical ship, Redemption, where Ricaud and his group had taken her, then back in Outmian Yakta. She was convinced that if Cyrus was still alive, he would have got a message to her, via the smugglers' subspace radio network. The only conclusion she could come to as time passed, that he was indeed dead and that Barid had lied to her, or that Cyrus had been working with CorSec all along and that either they had rescued him, or he never been held or executed and it had all been a ruse. Meanwhile, Erisey had disappeared, Caerwynn believed that she had run off to join the Alliance.

enquiring about rare resources needed for the rebuilding of Outmian Yakta, following the Imperial bombardment, Sibie Omiel (the city’s Inspector of Public Buidlings and Works) came across rumours of these resources being last seen a year ago. On travelling to Corellia, believed to be the source of the rumours, she discovered that two Zabrak males had been buying up the resources, with credits rumoured to have come from Jabba. With only the information that the Zabraks had been seen entering and leaving a warehouse, No 25, in the South district of Coronet, she returned to Outmian Yakta to inform Caerwynn, who was still recuperating from the torture inflected on her by the Imperial Inquisitor.

group from DSE travelled to Coronet to investigate. The warehouse was found, the door sliced, the building entered and searched. It seemed as if whoever had used the building had left hastily, one crate of the resources was abandoned in a corner, the furniture knocked over. A datapad was discovered on the floor, where it had appeared to have fallen. Erisey Casoona was able to hack into the datapad, it booted up on an image of a wedding; that of Caerwynn and Safim. Star charts and a route to Raxus Prime were on the datapad, apparently indicating their next heading. The two Zabraks who were seen over a year ago where, presumably, Safim and his brother Efaun.

On arriving on the planet, they donned rebreathers to overcome the noxious odours seeping from the ground and massive piles of junk and debris. Following a waypoint in the datapad, perhaps to a rendezvous, the team were confronted by droidekas and scavengers. A short fight ensued, but the team overcame the opposition and began to investigate the area. Something appeared to be gleaming pale and white in the weak sunlight, as she walked closer, Caerwynn realised it was a skeleton. Drackos Shadat wenforward to taka closer look, it was clutching something in what was its hand. He retrieved it, to find it was a ring with a Zabrak inscription, translated it read; Caerwynn’s Devotion, the ring she had exchanged with Safim. As Drackos pointed out, the skeleton need not be Safim’s, he could have planted the ring there to confuse anyone following him. Either way, Caerwynn felt this was a kind of closure for her uncertainty as to what had happened to Safim, he had indeed died, or hadn’t wanted her to find him again. The resources were discovered after crawling through a small passage in a junk heap and retrieved.

The cargo was linked to a Zack Grimm, a business man with connections on Naboo and Rori whom Abaki was investigating, although she didn't reveal the reason why. Setting out from Narmle, via a supply camp set up by representatives of Jabba's, there was a hard trek across the mountains to reach the freighter. The ship had belonged to Rori Express Freight and had crashed some weeks previously. Guarded by a rival salvage squad, the DSE team managed to overpower them. Following securing the wreckage, a shuttle was guided in to a landing site in order to retrieve as much of the cargo as possible. The salvage cargo was taken to OY and housed in a secure warehouse, pending further investigations. On landing at OY shuttleport, she also learnt of an incident that had nearly ended in the death of a popular band member, Deianirrah Sevestis, when e was threatened wi death from a stormtrooper, the result of a cantina visitor defying a local patrol. As protests rose, Melai was beaten in a public display of Imperial authority. Aware that her marriage could inflame the situation further, she maintained a distance from her husband when he was on duty, whilst trying to promote good citizenship among the company employees. Her apparent status was now that of a neutral citizen, realising that defiance of the Empire would only lead to problems and confrontations which could hinder business. Meanwhile there were other worries.
With the attack on the Squad

Whilst the fighting was furious and armed with Bane’s Beauty, she was fortunate to escape with little more than scratches, the pirates were overpowered. A search of the buildings revealed a badly beaten Raedan, his information gathering skills perhaps not quite as accomplished as he thought.

t was the night when Caerwynn always made time to act as hostess in the Desert Nights cantina. It started out as just another evening of meet and greet, except that there seemed to be an increased Imperial presence in the city. Unaware if her husband was on duty, she carried on as usual, even joining the band for a couple of sets. Towards the end of the evening, she received a com call, Sibie wanted her in the Mall.
the reason could be, she was concerned about it being important enough for Sibie to call her away from the cantina. Entering the Mall, there was no sign of Sibie, Caerwynn called out for her as she checked the other rooms. As she entered the basement room, she heard footsteps behind her, but before she could do anything, she was hit by a carbine butt and knocked to the floor. By the time Caerwynn was aware of what was going on, she had a sack over her head and her hands bound behind her. Ordered out of the building and around the back to a waiting vehicle, stumbling through the sand, Caerwynn was bundled into it.
First she was taken to what she
lieved was a holding cell and she quickly realised she wasn't alone. Deianirrah was also there, having been snatched when she returned to her house to collect an instrument. They were ordered not to talk, or move but they managed to exchange whispers briefly, Caerwynn informing her that she hadn't been searched and there was a small pistol strapped to her thigh. It was useless though, as both girls were bound. An hour or so later, they were dragged out of the building, Caerwynn was knocked down a ramp or step, she couldn't tell which as she was still blindfolded by the sack. Dumped into the vehicle, she felt that there was another person in the vehicle, apart from Deia and their captors. It wasn't until they were taken on board a ship that she realised it was Cravon. He was obviously being held too. Her mind racing as to what the reason could be, she pinned her hopes on her husband and the DSE Security team searching for them. All three where taken to another building on landing, but Caerwynn was unable to make out more than the noise of a city and Corellian accents as they were forced into another vehicle. Spending what she reckoned was a couple of days in a room with Deianirrah, her pistol had been discovered shortly after arrival, the girls were only free of their binders and sacks in order to eat and visit the latrine.

Held in a luxurious room, she was given gowns of silk to wear, no synthcloth for the bird in the gilded cage. Xizor visited for a stay of several days, before being called away. After the initial trauma of her kidnap wore off, Caerwynn soon realised what Xizor intended for her. Her love for Vor'en, her skills as a dancer and singer all managed to keep the Prince at arms' length. His aide de camp, [i/ Guri, kept an eye on Caerwynn when t] Prince was called away.

urn at any minute, Caerwynn heard blaster fire from outside the building. It sounded as if rescue had arrived, she prayed that her husband had found her. As the sounds of fighting drew closer, she looked for opportunities to escape, finally getting the chance to break away from her captors as she was being led away to a shuttle. Seeing her husband boosted her resolve to escape. As she turned back to check that she had put enough distance between her and the Black Sun, she was shot in the abdomen. Amongst the rescuers was Araiya, whose calming voiced soothed her, saying that Caerwynn was going to be alright. Once in the Medical Centre in Outmian Yakta, Araiya visited Caerwynn everyday, each time, she laid a gentle hand over Caerwynn's wound. Neither woman is sure whether or not the Force helped her to heal, but the blaster wound was almost indiscernable within a week.

Lucky to escape with only minor burns due to the protection offered by his armour, coupled with Caerwynn's capture, Vor'en made a momentous decision that would come to affect the couple's view of the Empire. Taking her completely by surprise, Vor'en announced his decision to leave the Military. Filling in all the requisite paperwork in Bestine, he moved into Sandy Hollow to commence a civilian life. Caerwynn was thrilled to have him home and the two began to enjoy a normal life, discussing the possibilities of his future employment. However, it was short lived and a detachment of troopers, headed by Jaylin Anora from Internal Affairs, arrived in Outmian Yakta, Vor'en was informed that his application had been rescinded and he was to return to his military duties immediately. Watching him leave with the escort, Caerwynn felt that now the war against the Empire was personal, they had taken her husband back.

With Cravon Wolfgang still missing and little to indicate where he was being held, Caerwynn was increasingly under pressure both personally and professionally. Missing her husband and having to accept that they were unlikely to spend any length of time together, apart from snatched moments when his duties allowed, she was also running the company singlehandedly. Tail'a's reappearance could only mean more trouble.

She said that she was on Tatooine looking to make contact with shipping and freight companies. As Gorgan walked across the office and started speaking, Caerwynn realised that she was Tail'a Deymous, disguised, but her walk, height, body build, manner and tone of speech were all Tail'a's. Calling Security, Tail'a was taken to the Imperial Office in the city and questioned. 'Gorgan' seemed overly confident and on questioning she gave her answers with a tone of arrogance. Caerwynn contacted Marvak Industries, due to the late hour, only an admin droid was available. The droid was only able to confirm that Kat'd Gorgan had left the employ of the company five months before. 'Gorgan' insisted that the droid was incorrect and that staff the next morning would confirm that she was still employed by the company. Caerwynn ordered her to be detained over night. 'Gorgan' was permited a comlink call, briefly, apparently informing her parents that she wouldn't be home that night. 'Gorgan' held firm to her story, but Ixal Dorran also suspected her of being Deymous. With Naboo just an hour's flight away, Caerwynn decided to travel to Keren and findout for herself whether or not 'Gorgan' was employed there. A very nervous assistant said that Kat'd Gorgan had indeed been employed by them for the last five months. This appeared to confirm 'Gorgan's identity. However, the assistant was glancing over her shoulder, checking the data terminal and avoiding eye contact, behaving in a very edgy fashion and Caerwynn was convinced by her manner, that the assistant was lying. Much to Caerwynn's fury as she arrived back in Outmian Yakta, 'Gorgan' was released by the 225th, following the intervention of Imperial Command, who stated that Marvak Industries was an Imperial supplier and that their employees were not to be held or hindered. Caerwynn reaffirmed the shoot to kill to order should Gorgan/Deymous return to Outmian Yakta. A day or two after this, Deymous sent taunting com messages over the DSE network, having hacked into the system when using the comlink in her cell. She confirmed that she was indeed Gorgan, that she still had 'business' with DSE and appeared to be threatening a DSE employee.

Droid Army invades Outmian YaktaStill furious that Deymous had g]] away again, Caerwynn and Saldena Wolfgang had met in the DSE office to discuss the lack of progress on Cravon's whereabouts. Mere snippets of information had had the Commander and the Chief of Security sending people on wild nuna chases across the galaxy. Whilst talking, there was another of the brownouts that seemed to be plaguing the city. The droids responsible for ship tracking, cargo loading and local coms processing shut down. Significant in it's self, as emergency shutdown was in indication of a hack or illegal overide, Caerwynn and Saldena were relieved to hear a droideka patrol roll past. However, this was short lived as the sound of distant blaster fire was a clear indication that all was not well, a glimpse through the door revealed what appeared to be an army of droids outside. The women went on to the roof to get a clearer view and could only stand and stare as Outmian Yakta was invaded by a droid army. Ducking back inside the building to avoid blaster fire, Caerwynn quickly discovered that the coms were down, they were thrown on their own devices. An unprogrammed mouse droid was in the basement of the building, Saldena managed to slice it so that the droid would run out of the building as she switched it on. This gave them enough of a diversion to climb over the roof, drop down into the soft sand and using a ridge in the dune for cover, they made their way around the outer perimeter of the city, their aim was to get to the coms room in the basement of the hotel. Joining up with a group of Security personel, they were able to eventualy achieve their objective. Later, the debriefing revealed that the droids had been hidden in crates supposedly containing a variety of Fullerite.

Chasing him half way across the galaxy, from Sullust to Malastare and finally Naboo, they caught up with Soolt’ir Efoom in the backroom of Theed cantina. With a little pressure, he was about to tell them who had been behind the droid attack when he was shot dead by an assassin. Seconds later, troopers arrived, all too conveniently in Caerwynn’s mind. In spite of the team’s protests, they were arrested for murder, whilst the assassin escaped. Taken to a mysterious base, one of the troopers revealed herself to be Tail’a Deymous, wearing the insignia of a Lieutenant and the badge of the 22nd Division. Caerwynn and her team were placed in a holding cell whilst Deymous artfully manipulated the team. On questioning, Quazaq Jappy failed to support his lear, Caerwynn d been unarmed during the confrontation with Efoom, yet Jappy failed to confirm this. She was increasingly sensing a set up, even more so, when Deymous produced a blaster with Caerwynn’s fingerprints on it. The only blaster she had touched was the one she dropped on the floor from her holster, only holding it between her thumb and index finger, when arrested. Left over night in the cells, Caerwynn began to feel unwell, deciding to use this as an opportunity to see more of the base, she played on it. Taken to the Medical room, she was amazed to find Doctor Roseward and Deianirrah Sevestis posing as a medical team sent to check up on her. She managed to whisper some details to them of her arrest, asking them to try and contact her husband. Allowing the Doctor to inject her with a mild 'flu virus to aid her performance and, hopefully, a transfer to Theed Hospital where a rescue attempt stood a better chance of success. Caerwynn lapsed into unconsciousness and was largely unaware of the next few days. It seems the Doctor had not read the labels, Caerwynn was injected with a virulent, contagious virus.

the Doctor was allowed to revisit her patient, when it was apparent Caerwynn’s condition hadn’t improved, worsened in fact. Deymous wanted her well enough for transfer, leading the Doctor to believe this would be to Theed. Instructing Deianirrah to inject Caerwynn with a stimulant, she recovered enough to tell them a little more of the circumstances of her arrest. Still angry at Jappy’s failure to exonerate her, Caerwynn told Deianirrah to warn Rhyley that Jappy shouldn’t be trusted. Taken to the base’s shuttleport, Caerwynn was exhausted by her efforts to communicate and was barely conscious as she was taken on board the shuttle, the repulsor-lift gurney was locked into position. She was vaguely aware of a blaster being fired, but not at whom, and had no idea she was being taken to the Imperial prison on Dathomir.

Turning at the sound of a new arrival in the cantina, she was astonished to see her adopted daughter, Erisey. It seemed that the year they had been apart, Erisey had been tracking Cyrus, looking for an opportunity for revenge. Homesickeness had called her back to OY and with the aid of Bai'yle Norssohn and Rhyley, Erisey had been smuggd in to Lok. Araiya had succeeded in obtaining the data from a terminal that was already logged into the security files, clearly demonstrating that Caerwynn was not holding a pistol and could not have fired the deadly blaster bolt that killed Efoom. A discussion then followed as to what best to do with the disk. Saldena suggested getting Sibie to broadcast it over the DSE Comnet, forcing Tail'a's hand and perhaps drawing the attention of other Imperial units. Caerwynn wanted to get a copy to Vor'en, sure that he would do his best to get into the right hands. Rhyley suggested also sending a copy to the Alliance, along with the data on the sentient experimentations. At the mention of this, Tsotha wanted the details and was horrified to hear of the evil plan that inflicted pain and suffering on sentient beings.
Raedan also had news of others, he discovered that C

This left just Caerwynn and the comatosed Abaim still hidden away. On a brief visit, Sibie (who was ostensibly securing a mining contract elsewhere on the planet) delivered a message from Tail'a, who was asking for a meeting. This appeared to be in response to the video that was broadcasted across the DSE comnet. Caerwynn made her way to the hotel in Nym's stronghold, feeling secure in the knowledge that Nym would provide back up, should she need it. Tail'a's demand was that, in return for removing the wanted notices for Caerwynn and her employees, Caerwynn was to give her the names of those who retrieved the original video of the shooting of Efoom and the original copy of the security video. There wasn't an eopi in the Sarlacc pit's chance that Caerwynn would reveal the names of those involved. However, she discovered that 'an operative' had obtained her fingerprints from a glass in the Desert Nights cantina. As a clear an admission that she was set up as she was going to get from Tail'a, also that there was a spy in OY, possibly even in DSE. Caerwynn knew that she could trust only those who had proven their worth. Tail'a was also planning to make a new version of the recording, one that used an actress to hold the smoking blaster over Efoom's corpse. Realising that all she was getting from Tail'a was more games, Caerwynn left the hotel with nothing resolved, only her determination to keep secret the identity of those who obtained the video. She then made her way to the small home that she and Vor'en had, in the depths of the Lok wilderness. With the comfort of familiar surroundings and a spare commlink in the house, with which she was able to send a message to her husband, Caerwynn had a brief respite. However, knowing that the others would need to contact her, she returned to the place of sanctuary within twenty four hours.

With gritted teeth, Caerwynn agreed to this as well. On receiving confirmation that all the requested data had been received, Tail'a removed the wanted notices. Deymous had already settled herself into the Imperial office in Outmian Yakta, with the assistance of NORA, a sophisticated synth droid. Updating Imperi recds on all citizens was well underway and the increased Imperial presence in the city was noticeable. Caerwynn had little choice but to ensure that the company continued to toe the line. She concentrated on building up the company's portfolio of contacts and contracts, whilst granting permission for the consolidation of the current Security team, intel gathering and squadron into the Outmian Security Force. This was against the backgund of attempts by Deyus to intimidate the citizenry with small booby traps and a feeling of oppression. Caerwynn decided it was time to get back into practice and began to join the Krayts, the Security section of the OSF, on their training days.
Lando Calrissian paid a visit to the city and the co

However, the contract was never formalised, due to Deymous demanding access to DSE's shipping manifests, apparently searching for company links to shipping blaster gas. Her excited anticipation was soon dashed when news came through that Shuttle CS-495 from Carida to Tatooine was overdue calling in and that the shuttle's beacon was last detected in the vacinity of Nak Shimor. There followed a few days of desperate worry, until she heard from a Doctor at the Medical Centre in Outpost 431.A on Nak Shimor[that her husband was alive, but exhausted and suffering from severe dehydration. Vor'en was discharged from the Imperial Army and the 336th Stormtrooper Platoon was created and based more firmly in Outmian Yakta.
Turning the Tables
wn Tatooine companies came uncomfortably close to home when Frantora Martanace of Martanace Shipping was shot dead in Mos Espa. Frantora had been a childhood friend of Safim, Caerwynn's first husband. His wife, Ellina, had become a personal friend of Caerwynn's, who naturally offered any help she could give to the newly widowed woman. With the suspicion that Deymous was behind the attacks, for whatever reason, her absence from OY matched the timescale of the assassinations. After an apparent attempt was made on Ellina's life, whilst she was in the company of Cravon Wolfgang, who managed to kill the assassin, Caerwynn suggested that Ellina sought safety in her family's well protected ranch near Dearic, Talus. The tran[port that took Ellina to Dearic, was destroyed on departing Dearic for Tatooine, soon after take off. The OSF travelled to Talus to help with the investigations. Caerwynn and Cravon had already decided to take the risk of playing Deymous at her own game and planned to plant fibres at the crash site that might indicate the involvement of a second party. Disturbingly, it soon became evident that a signal using a DSE code was received by the shuttle, seconds before it crashed. Deianirrah suggested that perhaps someone was trying to frame DSE for the assassinations. Deymous seemed the obvious candidate and somehow she had to be stopped.
Behind the scenes, Caerwynn's husband, Vor'en, seeme

His intention there being to make reparations for his involvement in the Empire's activities on the planet. Caerwynn didn't hear from him for some time, then she received a message out of the blue from him. She was stunned to hear that he had decided that a military career was something that he wanted after all. With no chance to discuss his decision with her, or how it would affect their future, Caerwynn told him, after months of waiting for him, that their marriage was over.
ny they had ever seen, explosions rocked the city, apparently caused by Tusken Raiders. News of a damaged sensor array heralded an evening that lead to Commander Stargazer being injured and the loss of his left arm. Power generators were destroyed in a blast that could be felt across OY, the resultant flames were doused by arial bombardment with sand, using DSE's own ships. This was followed by a chemical release in the vicinity of the Medical Centre, it was after this that a remote detonation of a speeder outside the cantina severely injured Stargazer. After things had quietened down, a strange message in ancient Huttese was found on the wall of the Medical Centre. The paint, on analysis, was shown to contain traces of Kitani's blood. This was assumed to either have been deliberately planted, or the paint had been mixed in a contaminated container.

The second was Varnala, Cravon's girlfriend who was the exact image of Guri. She couldn't trust her, no matter how much they talked during those brief breaks, she was still in the employ of Prince Xizor and Guri's double for social occasions. In spite of herself, she found herself offering to get Varnala out of the Prince's hold.

Close to death, and kept alive by nanites, she was later to discover, Raedan was brought up from the cells. He had been severely beaten, his legs crushed and was allowed to leave the Palace, however, Jabba's attention had been caught by Kileo Dimoh. Bai'yle, still posing as a bounty hunter, was sent to bring her back.
as taken out of the Palace on a business trip with Jabba and his entourage. Left in the throne room, with fewer guards, Bai'yle sent out on regular missions, she had only Varnala to offer her rest and food on some days.
Ten days into her incarceration, Jabba returned and
wasn't long before the OSF reappeared, lead by Rhyley. He had evidence that Bib Fortuna was involved in an attempt to overthrow the Crimelord, in cahoots with Gardulla the Hutt, who had brought a fleet with her. Finally freed, along with Kileo, she ignored the pain in her feet to help drive off Gardulla's fleet. On returning to Tatooine, it was discovered that Bai'yle hadn't left the Palace, but had been overpowered when taking Fortuna to the cells. Locating a KSE that launched from the Palace, she joined Rhyley, Atyphe and Kileo in chasing down the KSE. The ship left hyperspace unexpectedly having tracked it to Ylesia in Huttese space, scans revealed that the other ship was there too. On hailing it, they were all relieved to hear Bai'yle's voice, having worked free from his restraints, he had overpowered the pilot. The KSE was taken in tow and both vessels returned to Outmian Yakta. The pilot was believed to be a bounty hunter who had run into Raedan previously, nicknamed Blue due to the colour of his armour, he was detained in the Sec office.

Any peace was shattered when she and Cravon received a cry for help from Varnala, with the sound of blaster fire in the background, she sounded desperate. Leaving immediately for the call's origin on Corellia, Caerwynn and Cravon arrived too late. Returning to Outmian Yakta with Varnala's body, they sought solace in a drinking binge that merely left them with hangovers and no let up in the guilt they both felt. It also did little for what reputation and respect the employees had for their CEO. The following day, with Varnala's body in the morgue at the Medical Centre, Caerwynn went to pay her last respects, only to discover that the body had been switched.
A Moment's Distraction

formant regarding Varnala's body switch. Calling on her old underworld contact, Maros Zarlo, Caerwynn tried to gather information about the events leading up to Varnala's death. The response was that it appeared to be a set up, involving the higher echelons of the Black Sun. As she left the cantina, her eye was caught by what she thought was a familiar profile, Bai'yle, who had left OY on a mission of his own. Distracted, she wasn't as careful as she should have been. As she left the cantina, by the back exit, she was attacked, by three assailants. One of whom, she killed, the other injured, the third ran off when a patrol entered the alley. However, not before he had adminstered a kick, that was clearly the result of expert training, his speed as fast as her's. Not severely injured, she was taken to the Medical facility in Eisely, where a blood test was taken. With hindsight, she began to realise that the II's inte[est in her was possibly on the increase.

received an invitation to a dinner and award ceremony on [Gala], held annlly to celebrate successful companies fr all over the galaxy. Concerns of a trap were raised, but it was felt that this could be a good morale booster. With a trip to a salon, Caerwynn prepared for the evening with hair extensions and an expensive gown. With Bai'yle called away, she was a little disappointed not to have his company, but was determined to enjoy herself. However, the evening started to deteriorate from the moment their transport took them to the venue. There was a tremendous display of Imperial might, including Royal Guards, the feeling that this wasn't going to be much of a morale booster after all struck them all. With a curious introductory speech by the Direcx of the hosting organisation, Izard Kalleen, they were then served a meal that was unpalatable, even disgusting, to humans. After progressing from table to table, Kalleen had done his best to unsettle each guest in turn, with topics that not only displayed a disturbing knowledge of each individual, but also a desire to spread unease. As dessert was served, DSE realised that Kalleen was no longer in the room and there was no sign of an award ceremony commencing. Heading outside, they discovered that the Imperial guards, all the ships and Kalleen had vanished. They were left with no alternative, but to walk back to the capital city, several hours' walk away. Caerwynn's feet were soon in poor condition, the new skin rubbed raw.
The following, morning whilst waiting to leave, it b
ame apparent that some of their party where missing. About to start looking for them, Atyphe Stargazer appeared, out of breath and clear distrsed. In an attempt to track Izard Kaleen, along with Raedan, the Stargazers had fallen foul of pirates and had been chased into Yavin space. Not entirely believing the tale, the fact that one of their's was missing was enough to galavanise them all into action. Caerwynn was already harbouring her own opinions about the Commander, her past training and own force sensitivity picking up clues to his possibly being influenced by something beyond his own capabilities. Either way, he was in danger and needed help, a chance to return the loyalty he had shown her.

Using the cover this provided, they were able to slip through the fleets and land on Yavin IV, the planet that Caerwynn had been taken to four years ago when her escape pod was retrieved by the Empire. Trekking through the dense undergrowth, Atyphe seemed to have an awareness of where Rhyley would be; an ancient temple. The team became seperated, but Caerwynn, Cravon, Sarparious and Kileo stumbled on an Alliance camp that appeared to be recently attacked. A couple of vehicles were still intact and they were able to hotwire them. Caerwynn's feet were now open wounds, she didn't dare remove her boots in fear of not getting them back on. Returning to the bearing that Atyphe had been following, they arrived at the temple, to find the others inside. Rhyley was also there, along with Aniwevei, who seemed to be offering them a chance to get off the planet. Some wanted to take her prisoner, kill her even, but she was allowed to leave, destroying the vehicles as she left. Rhyley's mental state seemed to be chaotic, rambling and incoherent but he seemed to be otherwise unharmed. As they left the temple, the space battle appeared to be over with the unknown fleet victorious. With no means of transport, they decided to remain the temple overnight.
5.2:12 Whilst the others slept, Sarparious returned
the camp and managed to get a third vehicle travelworthy. With Rhyley loaded into this with Caerwynn driving and Atyphe perched on the back, the others followed. In order to remove Rhyley from whatever was causing him distress, the team decided to follow a river back to Atyphe's ship. Along the route they found checkpoints, armed thugs that engaged the team and shuttles that took off as they approached. Someone was following their progress. Finally arriving at the Genesis, they discovered Tyber Zann waiting for them and the ship surroundeby guards d droideka.

epped up to speak with his old acquaintance, Zann. Trying to strike a deal that would save his family, Cravon offered to hand Rhyley over. However, the rest of the team resisted and Zann shot Saboa dead as an example of his intent. At a stand off, it seemed that they would all die, until Zann's fleet turned on it's self in a surprise move that had them all taken aback for a moment. In the confusion Atyphe was able to contact her ship's droid and trained the weapons of the Genesis on Zann. Effectively taken prisoner, Zann was bundled on board as the team followed. Cravon faced recriminations for wanting to hand over Rhyley and also having revealed that he had sold Zann the very weapons that had been used against them. The repurcussions were to resound through the entire company.
Returning to OY, emotions where high as recriminatio
flew and where mostly directed at Cravon. During a very tense talk with Bai'yle, Caerwynn was told that she should get Cravon to give up his Mayorship and leave OY. Caught between a man she was growing to care deeply for and the man she considered a brother, she was left in the position of having to choose. Finally, fearing for Cravon's life, she spoke to him, revealing that he could be killed if he remained in OY. She also, mistakenly, believed that Bai'yle would not only remove the Stargazers but also Erisey and Raedan, who he had come to regard as family. This misunderstanding was to come to a head and drive a wedge between her and those she cared for.

Initially, Caerwynn had her misgivings about the union, but the devotion to each other, displayed through previous trials convinced her that Raedan was a suitable match for her adoptive daughter. Cravon had asked to be there and Caerwynn was all too aware of the feelings of some members of the wedding party towards him. The ceremony passed off without incident, however and Caerwynn was able to speak to Bai'yle. Following a couple of days surrounded by the natural beauty of the planet, the two seemed to settle their differences, for the time being at least.

The Genesis, piloted by Atyphe and the Aslaia with Caerwynn in the pilot's seat, followed on. Changing transponder codes before exiting hyperspace, they arrived in Lahsbane space, however, the KSE piloted by Rhyley failed to arrive at the rendezous point. A strong Imperial presence was indicated by a fleet which included an [Destroyer ISD and an [ interdictor in Nar Shadaa space. Hypering closer to Nar Shadaa, the Genesis lands making contact with an information broker Sotiera, they discover that Bai'yle is being held a highecurity area on Nar Shadaa. With Raedan and Erisey on board the Aslaia, they attempt to slice into the database and aid Atyphe, Sle-Twe and Kileo in extracting Bai'yle.
The Aslaia seemed to draw attention and a TIE squadr
was launched from the cruising ISD to investigate the ship. Caerwynn was forced to move away from Nar Shadaa resulting in Erisey and Raedan loosing their connections. The extraction team no longer had the assistance of the back up team as Caerwynn fought to shake off her pursuers. During the confusion, with two squadrons chasing her, dropping into the busy traffic lanes to try and loose them, a KSE was seen to launch out of the ISD. The team prayed it was Rhyley making an escape. Rediscovering her flying skills, lain dormant for many months, she used all the tricks she ever knew. However when the interdictor began to turn on the Aslaia, there was no option, but to find somewhere to lie low. Raedan suggested the Spacebarn, [wned by Shug Ninx. [inx demanded a payment of ten million credits as the price for hiding them, there was little choice for Caerwynn than to empty her private accounts.
The Aslaia landed and her crew of Erisey, Raedan, Sa

Her pleasure at seeing Bai'yle was soon dashed when Erisey accused him of planning to remove her and Raedan from OY. Bai'yle was furious at being misrepresented and as soon as she realised her error, Caerwynn apologised, but it was too late. The wedge was driven further home.

With an alert out for all YT-2400s to report to the Imperial fleet, she launched from the Spacebarn, with Saldena as her co-pilot and flew directly at the ISD, drawing their attention away from the Genesis flying to Rhyley's location. Playing with the fleet, trying draw them further and further away, the Aslaia was taking damage, but succeeded in giving the Genesis time to recover Rhyley. Caerwynn found the taste of danger exhilarating and realised that she was finally leaving behind the person she had become as result of her re-education almost two years previously.

Erisey picked up a transmission regarding an Imperial fleet which was due to leave for Kashyyyk, following the tracking of a suspected Jedi. Rhyley suggested that they tried to find the Jedi first. Whilst still on a high from playing with the Imperial fleet, Caerwynn was up for anything! Travelling to Kashyyyk as fast as possible, the OSF team landed and began a covert search of possible slaving camps, eventually locating a transport about to depart. Assaulting the camp and boarding the ship, the team found a barely conscious female. To her amazement, Caerwynn discovered that it was Mareena Moondancer, whom she had last seen two years ago. It was decided that Moondancer would travel with Atyphe, Caerwynn returned to Tatooine. She made no further inquires about the female who had brought destruction to OY in her wake, two years previously, she preferred to try and let the past rest.

Turning on their holovision terminals for the news, they were horrified to watch scenes of the destruction of the beautiful city of Keren on Naboo. A fleet had dropped out of hyperspace and proceeded to lay Keren to waste. With employees who had mily in the city, shherself having friends there, Caerwynn hurried to the Security office to see if there was any further news. Working flat out, over the next couple of days and examining footage of the attack, the Wraids gathered enough evidence to pin the attack on the same fleet that had turned on itself over Yavin. The fleet that Zann had once controlled. Unsure of the fleet's next destination, the city was put on alert, Zann was still being held in the Security office cells and it was possible that the fleet would arrive in Tatoo space.
5.2:31 ABY With heightened tension in the OSF, the fates
f Blue and Zann, both still languishing in the cells, was discussed. Zann was felt to have some use to the Alliance and Stargazer intimated that he may know how to deliver him. As Blue had a large bounty on his head, it was decided to hand him over to the 336th and allow Raedan to claim the bounty, as some compensation for what he had suffered at Blue's hands whilst in Jabba's Palace.

Several hours later, nearing exhaustion, they arrived at the ancient structure Rhyley had been leading them to. Leaving Caerwynn and the others, Rhyley and Atyphe were taken to Aniwevei. With opponents still to battle, the remainder of the team worked their way through the temple, coming across dead ends that they were forced to blow their way through using whatever was to hand; blaster packs and small explosive charges. They found their way to the Stargazers.

Mind Play
.28 – 5.3:28 With reports of drop ships to the north oOY, Caerwynn hurried to the Security office, reports indicated a large force approaching. Joining in with the OSF, she hurried to the area of encroachment. Engaging in blaster fire with what appeared to be a stormtrooper force, the 336th advised that it appeared to be a battalion that had been reported as having deserted. With the aid of the Imperial forces in the city, the OSF and the 336th fought off the assault. As they drew close to what they believed to be the command ship, Fallon appeared, taunting them, before lifting off in the ship. The city was left clearing up after the assault and the Wraids working over time to try and discover the reason for the attack. Caerwynn couldn't believe that the once loyal pilot was now attacking those she had called friends.
Caerwynn was soon to be distracted by further bad news, as t
month drew to a close, Deianirrah was concerned over Pet'ra not appearing for work.
5.4.1 – With reports that a Twi'lek dancer answering her des
iption was seen in Mos Entha, they went looking for Pet'ra. Armed with datapad images of Pet'ra, they were showing them around the market place, when Caerwynn was shocked to see a figure who appeared to be Tail'a Deymous, far from dead. Catching up with her near a small cantina on the outskirts of the city, Tail'a expressed concern for Pet'ra's safety and that she too was looking for her. It seems that the person who was killed in OY, was a stooge, allowing Tail'a to go into hiding under an assumed name until Pet'ra's disappearance drew her out.
5.4:4 – With Kileo, Caerwynn searched Pet'ra's house. A fine l
er of dust covered the furniture and floor, but the girl's band uniform was laid out ready on the bed and no clothes appeared to be missing. All the signs seemed to indicate that Pet'ra had gone willingly. The dust gave up some clues; there were footprints with a thinner layer of dust and an outline showed where Pet'ra's headset had been taken, along with her ID. Kileo examined the comlink terminal and expressed curiosity regarding a frequency simply labelled 'Friend'. She and Caerwynn decided that it was worth trying the number. Both women were stunned to hear Tail'a answer the call. She again expressed her concern regarding Pet'ra, but Caerwynn remained sceptical of her claims of friendship for the young Twi'lek.
The same evening, returning from her evening run, Caerwynn calle
into the DSE office, to find Abaki at one of the consoles. Shooting at Caerwynn and damaging a terminal in the process, she ran out having been unable to slice into the system. It was unclear as to what the Zabrak female was after.
5.4:6 Using underworld contacts, Caerwynn was able to trace Pet'
to Kor Vella. With the aid of Kileo and Jarryd Darvallion, they travelled to the cantina to try and bring her back. In spite of efforts by Jarryd (JD) to talk to her out of the way of her minder, he was not able to get her to recall anything of her past life in OY. It was as if she had been brainwashed. With little option left, but to offer to buy the girl, they left Kor Vella with the assurance that the girl would be delivered to them on Tatooine.
5.4 Information leads them to a bunker. Raided by the OSF and th

They were trying to create a Krath war droid, with a human brain. These were sentient droids, created during the Clone Wars and recently rediscovered by Zach Grimm. There were two prototypes but the Onderon project had paid for five prototypes.

For sometime, Raedan had been gathering information on slavery aivity, apparently condoned by the Empire. Caerwynn and the OSF answered a call for help in obtaining data from an Imperial base on Corellia. The information lead them to Drall. Using the co-ords provided, they arrived at a guarded cpound and gained entry on the pretext of delivering slaves. The suspicions of the compound's commander were raised and those posing as guards were forced to leave the 'slaves' as they fought their way out. With a long trek ahead of them, they were dispirited and highly concerned for the comrades left behind. With Imperial scouts and hunters in pursuit, they stayed one step ahead until, exhausted, they had to rest up. A patrol found them and a fight ensued, not without injury, the team managed to overcome their attackers and make their way to a rendezvous point, at an Alliance base. Heading to New Plympto, they recovered from their injuries and Caerwynn returned to Tatooine once she was sure that the injured were well cared for.
5.5 Whilst meeting with Radagon Shirocco regarding a contract fo
supplying equipment for a possible granite extraction contract, Tail'a was seen in OY, running to join the pursuit, she was to spend the night in the desert with the OSF and the 336th, tracking the female to Wayfar and then on to Mos Espa. In the ensuing confrontation, Caerwynn was stunned, others injured and Tail'a made her escape again.
5.6 Following up further disappearances of DSE employees, it was
uggested that the headsets they had been asked to test by Adcore were connected in some way. They seemed to emit a low frequency signal that had no use. A meeting in Mos Entha with Mr Holn, a director of the company, was arranged. He seemed nervous and overly concerned over the changes made to headsets when they were reprogammed without the low frequency signal. With Horn distracted, Kileo was able to download several directories, Mindburst was one.
Tail's End
During what initially appeared to be a random st

ed, Mo'sei Fallon Abaki's sister was killed. The girl had been a pular, if shy, ember of the DSE band and a backing musician for Caerwynn. A memorial ceremony was held in Outmian Yakta at the eternal flame, a company tradition for fallen comrades. At the wake afterwards, the cantina was raided and those present where held hostage. The leader of the attackers was Abaki. Threatening Pet'ra, Abaki was shot at by Tail'a. Abaki returned the blast and Tail'a was killed defending her friend.
Erisey went missing following a trip to Bestine. Raedan received
package containing her braids and a bag of blood. The package was delivered by Kaligovka, a recent arrival in the city who worked for a courier firm. She confirmed that she had been handed the package by her boss, a Rodian called Roveesh who was often in the cantina in Anchorhead. Rallying around, the OSF and militia (Caerwynn, Cravon, Kileo, Rymel, JD and Kaligovka) went with Raedan, to pay him a visit. After some persuasion, Roveesh divulged that three people brought the package to him; one was an albino Zabrak with a blue tattoo, one a human and another in armour. Further intel was to reveal that the Zabrak was Ranel Nek'Nivar, a bounty hunter that was known to be particularly vicious and worked with two others. Raedan believed that they were using Erisey to get to him and claim the bounty on him.
Raedan received the co-ords for the exchange, once there, he tra
mitted his location to Cravon who, using the Midnight, arrived over the area first, Caerwynn followed in a vehicle with JD. Raedan had already killed one, overpowered the albino Zabrak and wounded the third, who was trying to make an escape, and received another rifle shot from Caerwynn. Bargaining with a proton grenade, he tried to make an escape, but not before JD managed to damage his swoop. With a blast, the swoop exploded as the hunter weakened and released his hold on the grenade, throwing the severly injured hunter off. Concerned at the danger of more grenades, Caerwynn shot him twice more. As she did so, news came through that Erisey had been dumped, badly wounded outside the cantina in OY. Leaving the dead hunter for the scyks, Cravon lifted them out and back to OY. The girl had suffered broken arms, jaw and internal injuries.
5.6: With rising tensions in other parts of the galaxy the OSF w

Kileo Dimoh was promoted to Commander. Mayor Kaboor requested a meeting with Caerwynn and Cravon. He stated that DSE was vital to the economy of Tatooine and that whilst the OSF were no longer employed by the company, it would still have an interest in the safety of DSE's personnel. The Twin Suns Squadrons would remain part of DSE, as would the starport. This, at least, was a relief to Caerwynn and Cravon.[[Image:SupplydeliveryNP.jpg|thumbnail|right|Imperial supplies delery

he end of the year with a growing sense of deja vue. It was becoming more apparent that Abaki had been the previous owner, or hirer, of the gunship that the company had purchased. The cargo hold had revealed unpleasant surprises and still no clues as to why the erstwhile friend was trying to destroy the company.
Tuskens had begun to take a greater interest in their overland car
deliveries and was this connected to archaeological artefacts unearthed in the Dune Sea? Deaths and attacks seemed to be spreading out from the find like ripples in a pond. Was the presence of cultists in Outmian Yakta also connected to it and was it the reason for Sarparious’ possession, by some long dead entity, that had lead them to Chandrilla and a crystal? With the death of their leader and the departure of the cultists from the city, she hoped that whatever had drawn them there was over.
The Black Sun now seemed to be regaining their former strength, with
D’s brother being held by them, they now had a hold over him. They were no closer to finding his brother, but she had found out more about JD’s past.
With the aftermath of Hoth, the Alliance were on the run, as were friend
and family. Outmian had suffered the loss of many, including the Imperial troopers who were called up to chase after them. The Crime Lords seized the opportunity to rebuild their hold on the Tatooine underworld.
Following the withdrawal of the Imperial fleet in the Tatoo sector, pira
s were able to prey on shipping again. A reminder of the times when the company had had to fight their way from one planet to another. The times when Abaki was part of the company and helping to carve out their routes. The pirates were now attacking settlements too and acquired the name ‘Red Claw’ due to the markings on their ships.
As Caerwynn contemplated the coming new year, DSE was growing and flourishin
one comfort in a galaxy torn apart by war.

Personality

ing as best she can, has given her an affinity with those who find themselves down on their luck. Caerwynn has been known to provide free meals and a bed for the night for people who have turned up desperate and destitute, she has rarely misjudged those truly in need. Fending for herself combined with her ability to defend herself, has developed a strength of character that has enabled her to forge a place for herself both in the world of entertainment and commerce. The flaming red hair (lightened and brightened by the twin suns), a genetic trait that runs through her family, is an indication of her fiery temper. Whilst not quick to lose it, many have cowered from her when she gives vent to her fury. In many ways, she is wiser than her years, yet reckless with her own life.
Views and Opinions
Jedi - she does not believe in a Light and a D
===ide, this was not par
of her training or philosophy as a child. As her formal training was halted at sixteen, Caerwynn was not influenced by any doctrine, although the Erifeian Order is a peaceful one there remains the tales of the conflicts thousands of years ago that devastated Palawa and, later, Bunduki during the Second Great Schism Her d[alings with Jedi have been mixed, but she believes, rightly or wrongly, that it was Jedi who lead to the [e_of_Outmian_Yakta Battle of Outmian Yakta in 3ABY. She has also been party to conversations and events where the views of Jedi seemed less than honourable.
Religion - not overtly religious, Caerwynn will call on 'the gods' or th
'six hells'. Her people believe that the Architects terra-formed many o[ the planets in the galaxy, even manipulating their orbits. The Great Architect is the supreme god who manifests him, or her, self through an artefact called the Tyrilisa. It was the Tyrilisa that guided her ancestors to Erifei in the unknown regions during the Second Great Schism
Slavery her howorld is peaceful and free, to discover that something
s abhorrent as slavery existed outraged her natural sense of justice. She took up arms in the Kimld system and helped to remove slavery from Kimld 3. She still funds arms shipments to anti-slavery movements.
The Empire - she abhors the lack of personal freedom under the Emperor's
ule: the ID checks, the condoning of slavery and the freely used violence and torture against prisoners. As the years pass, she sees the Empire as more and more corrupt.
The Alliance - having joined the Alliance more or less by default, she k
w nothing of the background to the galactic civil war prior to her arrival in the known galaxy, it was a means to obtain arms to smuggler to anti-slavers. Now, through personal experience, she is vehemently anti-Imperial, although this necessarily kept hidden and she still donates what she can to the Alliance via hidden accounts based on Nar Shadaa.
Gifts of the Gods
Force Sensitivity and the Teräs Käsi Arts
===e age of four years
====n the tradition of the Erifeian Order, Caerwynn
as tested for mi[i-chlorians, the count was high, indicating that she was a suitable candidate to enter the Order at sixteen years of age. Her training commenced with a stylised form of the Teräs Käsi arts, combined with dancing[to increase stamina and agility, the day following her fourth birthday. Caerwynn's training continued for twelve years, excelling in both dancing and the martial arts. Believing that the Force was an internal strength, not an outside influence, followers of this form of combat will say that they draw on energies generated by their own cells through the midi-chlorians. They are capable of bursts of great strength and speed, their different view of the Force also enabled them to develop techinques that could block the use of the Force against them. As Caerwynn did not enter the Order, whilst maintaining and improving her combat skills, she has had little training in the more cerebral form of the TK arts. However, she did receive instruction in controlling pain from an unlikely mentor, Makavelee á Jamais, over a period of three years. Val-Tane Ricaud introduced her to a higher form of meditation, leading to an out of body experience that shook her beliefs in the Force as being an internal energy. It was not long after this that she finally returned to Erifei and learnt a method of supressing her Force sensitivity, as time has passed, she has become more accepting of her abilities.
Some of the stances and attacks Caerwynn is trained in and continues to practice:

She will pass herself off as a 'simple dancer' when questioned a

onged innocent, to get out of difficult situations, resorting to combat if all else fails. However her dancing skills are far from simple, she loves to dance, feeling the rhythm of the dance though her soul and heart. It has been said to her that it is her connection with the Force that gives her the ability to dance so well, but in response she would say it's the training and practise she has put in for over two decades.
Singing
Not formally trained, her natural singing voice covers a large r

is near perfect. She writes her own songs, not the best lyrics, but they are sung with true feeling and this has gained her fame and number one bestsellers across the galaxy.

Behind the Screen
Caerwynn is the imaginary alter ego of the player. Featuri
==n childhood and tee
ge attempts at writing short stories, the game has finally put a face to the character. Caerwynn is braver, more extrovert and the embodiment of all the things the player didn't have the courage to be in her childhood years. Her background is an amalgam of books and films that influenced the player's short stories. Whilst some of Caerwynn's background may seem fanciful in relation to realism roleplay, the player felt that they were intrinsic to the evolution of the character over the years and deserved a place here.
