Introduction
Edarcae Kadare is an adult human, native to the illustrous and wealthy planet of Serenno in the Outer Rim. Although inwardly kind and compassionate, his more benevolent emotions eventually became cruelly supressed within his inner being after joining the Imperial cause in later life, to the recommendation of his parents, producing a coldy stern front. His early childhood was not ideal, and he was not able to relate with most of the others at the academy, leaving him to seek refuge in tutoring programmes which his family arranged for him while they were pre-occupied in their own business, excluding much care from Edarcae. Originally quite consicious and concerning, he enjoyed the time that he spent on the serene planet of Naboo, earning a place in society and finding his identity through educational courses and training with the local Royal Security Forces. However, he was soon swept away to be introduced to the New Order which he had only simply adhered to as necessary until then, at which point he was convinced of the positive ideals it beheld for the Galaxy, leading him to enroll in training for the intelligence forces. After years of training and some level of conditioning which slowly swayed his understanding to loyalty towards the Galactic Empire, he was placed in a position as an assistant and advisor to various senior commanaders of the Imperial Security Bureau, as consequence of his parents' influence. Later, he was placed in field service as a standard level agent. Through this time, he investigated multiple different cases within his mandate, though also witnessed atrocities committed by Imperial forces. Subsequently, this triggered a different line of though within him, and after months of consideration, his resolve changed. Now, Edarcae believes oppositely to the Empire, and feels that the ideals they are supposively set out to achieve are not their true motives, and that their methods contradict his way of thinking. Resigned, the ex-Imperial now searches to assist another cause - now that he is invovled in the war, he wishes not to step away from it, but to try to help set it right.
27 BBY - 11 BBY: Earlier Years
Heritage
Edarcae was born mid-year of 27 BBY to a relatively upper class family on the far out planet of Serenno, a calm, beautiful world marked by a mixture of different vibrant and interesting terrain. His parents were loosely connected to the Galactic Senate embassy for the planet, but held yet little influence amongst them, much to their dismay. Somewhat conceited for those native to Serenno, his family were concerned mainly about social importance thus his parents cared little when their child was born. Despite this, high expectations of him were naturally present from the start, and so his parents, although usually otherwise engaged in matters to their own interest, kept a close eye upon the progress of their child as they enlisted him in tutoring programmes to ensure his social competence and that his demeanour met all correct requirements. Edarcae seemed, as a younger child, to accept this as the way of his life, and grew in his childhood to become sincere and conscious, but a generally kind and caring personality was prevalent. Satisfied with their child, his parents had soon made arrangements for his inheritance, which they planned to mediate to him gradually through his life. It could be questioned whether his parents actually cared about him, or whether they intended to use currency to make it appear so for social reasons.
During these times, the Clone Wars both started and ended, however due to his young age, Edarcae was shielded from any political awareness - rightly so for such a young mind. Initially, Serenno had been sitting tentatively in the Galactic Republic, however once the Seperatist Crisis begin, they yielded their position within the Senate and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems for the duration of the war. The planet remained out of any military activity, though did host presence of some guard droids which Edarcae noticed only infrequently, and by the time that the war ended, Imperialisation hit the country, yet only few Imperial patrols were installed, leaving most of the security duties to the local security force. His parents did not seem too concerned by this, as his family was one of few who had actually supported the Republic secretly, although they did take advantage of some Seperatist technology - later to appear in Edarcae's inheritance scheme.
Struggling
By 15 BBY, things were set to change, as in addition to private tutoring, Edarcae was to be enrolled in the local academy for the upcoming five years, meaning that he would be among others of similar upbringing. Edarcae, even though not ignorant and clearly prepared for it, was not entirely pleased with the concept, mainly out of fear of interacting with others. Unfortunately, this feeling seemed well placed as he regretfully struggled through the academy in terms of working with others, often shying away from anything too involved as he started to develop contempt for his family, though it was by principle that he continued to respect their decisions and beliefs as he went through the years at the academy, still gaining good grades, yet not entirely exceptional in all aspects. Converse to his personality, he progressed moderately well in physical activities, though excelled mainly in the field of law, and to some extent, mathematical studies. Eventually, in 11 BBY, it became time for him to leave the academy and use his qualifications to attain higher education. Differently to ever before, his parents were set to allow him to chose where he would prefer to go.
11 BBY - 5 BBY: Earning a Place
Higher Education
With the decision of which university Edarcae would go to for the following years laying upon his shoulders, Edarcae took time to view information on various different universities throughout the galaxy, convinced that he did not wish to stay on Serenno after his not traumatic, but unpleasant time at the academy. Consequently, Edarcae designated the renowned and high standard universities of Naboo as his desired destination for the following years, also keeping in mind the possibility of work aside from studies. Respectful of the decision though still aside from Edarcae's life, his parents made all necessary arrangements for
his transport to Naboo, with the intention of him staying there for around six years. At this time, his parents also granted him an amount of his inheritance to pay for both education and living fees whilst he was there, and all was set.
When setting off in late 11 BBY, Edarcae was reminded of the generally accepted custom of Serenno; to help others yet to be self-reliant, at the time, he agreed fully with the principle, as his compassion lended itself to him helping others, but through not really bonding with anybody at the academy, or in his family, it seemed potent to be self-reliant - following this ideal meant that he would be travelling alone and staying on the planet alone. Somewhat excited and interested to experience a new, different world, Edarcae was pleased to watch as the starship left the planet, soaring through the skies and through hyperspace towards Naboo. In addition, while aboard the transport craft, Edarcae developed something of an awe for space-flight, and was determined that he would try his hand at it while on Naboo, if possible.
Upon arriving on the lush green planet, Edarcae was highly appreciative of the surroundings, and the bustling, live atmosphere of the streets as he made his way towards the rented apartment residence which had been pre-arranged for him. After slowly settling into his accommodation, he made no delay in attending the university, which would then become an amiable daily routine for the upcoming six years. During this time, Edarcae seemed to fully develop his persona, no longer troubled by uncaring company at the academy, yet instead he learned otherwise and began co-operating and getting on well with others. Academically, he was also doing quite well in both of his subjects, mathematics and law, and spent most of his free time studying, while the rest was otherwise spent on exercise and socialising. Eventually though, despite being aware that he had the necessary amount of credits to fully fund his stay, he became interested in a part-time job, most specifically with the local Royal Naboo Security Force.
The Royal Security Force
In 9 BBY, Edarcae approached the Royal Security Force of Naboo, and applied for a part-time occupation with the force, both for the benefit of the training which he would receive, and to explore different possibilities. The initial interview went quite well, resulting in the acceptance of Edarcae into the force on a part-time basis, although initially the hours were demanding in proportion to the still necessary study time for university. Determined, Edarcae managed quite well to handle both the job, and his education, at the expense of little to no free time. In the training, he progressed at an average rate, though he did show some level of skill in comparison to some others, although not the best, and enjoyed the ground training which finished only in 7 BBY, the first of a two-part course which he had been offered by the local security force as part of a young workers programme which had been established. During the time, he learnt some level of martial arts, and how to use typical blaster pistol weaponry, becoming moderately capable. Seeing as it was security training, it also contributed to his subject knowledge, learning about law directives, and some aspects of low-grade programming.
After a short break away from the part-time occupation in 7 BBY, studies seemed to slacken slightly as his training began for piloting in space, something which was of interest to Edarcae. At first, he was a moderately good pilot, though did progress skilfully as time progressed, learning how to pilot a variety of different non-military craft that the Royal Security Force utilised, before being introduced to the acclaimed N-1 Starfighter. Earning his insignia in the force towards late 5 BBY, he left the part-time programme to divert attention back to his studies for his final examinations, in order to attempt to attain the best possible grades he was capable of. During his time studying and training, he had met many different people who he had got on well with and had done well in social situations.
Departure
Although Edarcae had expected to receive contact from his parents informing him of their plans for his career, it was more of a shock than he had anticipated. He had become immersed in the society of Naboo, and after receiving his qualifications with good recommendations, seemed lost in the moment. His parents, nor family, had not at all contacted him for the duration - six years - that he had spent on Naboo, and he felt somewhat distanced and detached from them, however that was not of major concern to him. In late 5 BBY, his parents made contact with him, and, with half-hearted congratulations, instructed him that he was returning home to Serenno for a short break, then that he would be undergoing a level of training within the Galactic Empire. Immediately, his feelings towards the idea were apprehensive. Even though the Royal Security Force on Naboo overtly supported the Imperials, a truth that he had learnt when working with them was that they had little choice but to do so, and that some members were quite bold with their opinions against the Empire, discrediting the Imperial front that they were aiming for peace with ideas that they were committing atrocities in the process. Instinctively, Edarcae saw this as the truth to begin, but he understood that he had to do as his parents desired and said his farewells before being ferried back to his homeworld.
5 BBY - 0 ABY: The New Order
The Imperial Cause
When he had returned to Serenno at the end of 5 BBY, he was immediately greeted with his parents' plans for his future. Given but no time to settle back into Serenno, after a few days, he was informed that he was to be enrolled in the prestigious Imperial Academy for the next four years to receive training to take an active part in Imperial ranks. Inwardly, Edarcae was somewhat displeased with this decision, and feared for his emotional state; he was aware that he was capable to withstand the training, though he worried that he stood to be manipulated that the Empire's cause was right - and that nothing else mattered. Deciding not to upset things at the time, he simply accepted his parents' decisions and packed for the voyage to the Imperial Academy on Corulag, an idealistic core world, and
a shining example of Imperial loyalty. Before departing however, his parents granted him another part of his inheritance, two pieces of combat technology from the Clone Wars; a Geonosian sonic blaster and a Belbullab-22 starfighter, both of which Edarcae was quite appreciative of. Though, seeing as neither were strict Imperial technology, his parents had him leave the items on Serenno.
Typically of when one is being sent somewhere they do not wish, the journey to Corulag in early 4 BBY felt longer than it should have done to a wary Edarcae, gazing out at the stars as if he were being imprisioned. Already though, his mind was beginning to turn with his parents' assurance that the Empire aimed for a New Order of security and stability in the galaxy. Peace. After arriving, this same point would forever echo throughout his mind as he was introduced to his accommodation for the next four years. Taking into consideration his skills, his parents had arranged for him to undergo advanced Imperial Security Bureau training, so the course seemed set to perhaps be more interesting than just endless exercise and repetetive combat training. Instead, during the time, his skills in infiltration were improved, as was his programming abilities, though not to an excessive level. Unfortunately, training for the Imperial Security Bureau meant accepting that the Imperial cause was just and above all others, so other time, Edarcae was gradually convinced that the Galactic Empire was the authority of the galaxy, and a true, compassionate government. His thoughts and previous opinions seemed to just slip away in an environment of Imperial propaganda, making him a serious and sincere character. By 0 ABY, the training was complete, but this time there was no opportunity to re-visit his family, instead, he was transferred directly to his first capacity.
0 ABY - 4 ABY: Imperial Security
Correspondant to Command
Isolated from society in the Imperial academy, when Edarcae was sent to Coruscant to head for the Imperial Security Bureau headquarters, he was exposed to rumours of the destruction of Alderaan. Though, before being given time to think about the idea, he was immediately assured by the Imperials surrounding him that the recently emerged
Rebel Alliance, fighting against the Empire, had destroyed it with a biological weapon. This only further reinforced Edarcae's loyalty to the New Order. When he arrived at the headquarters, and was taken to an office for an interview, it became evident that his parents had recently raised their social standing, as they would call it, and were now in a position of influence with certain Imperial officers. Subsequently, they had arranged for his first position to be as an assistant to the leaders of the bureau on Coruscant. Marginally unsure, Edarcae's new found Imperial loyalty discouraged any thoughts against the matter. As a result, for the next years, from 0 ABY to late 3 ABY, he spent his time as an assistant to various different leaders, which meant mainly office work, though he did take part in some field assignments. During the time, he lived in a high-rise apartment building near the main headquarter complex, and devoted all of his time to work. Again, it seemed that he was socially reclused as he was at the academy, but he could barely see through it, so simply continued. These duties, though, would eventually come to an end.
Field Service
Towards late 3 ABY, it was decided that Edarcae would be made use of as a standard field agent, working on different assignments throughout the galaxy. Apparently, his parents were not entirely pleased about it, but some Imperial officers decided that his quite commendable field skills would be better put to use in their intended surroundings - field work. Interested to explore the galaxy and participate in more involved cases, Edarcae was pleased to undertake the new mission, and began moving to planets as directed, through the end of 3 ABY, to mid 4 ABY. In doing so, he was able to solve multiple cases, failing only very rarely, which resulted in a more strengthened resolve for further cases. With no set accommodation around this time, he stayed at various different hotels around the galaxy, and remained mainly undercover, seeking public transport. However, during this time, he was exposed to different Imperial policies and actions which began to erode away his Imperial loyalty, to a point of weakness.
4 ABY - Present Day: Just Cause
A Turn of Truth
Now around mid 4 ABY still, Edarcae payed a visit to Naboo for one of his investigations, his opinions and thoughts of before now reforming. Edarcae was now beginning to feel ever more resentful of his parents, and of his repetitive, seemingly ineffective occupation which did not yield anything but temporary results. In the city of Moenia on Naboo, he was enlisted to investigate an Imperial lead that a group of art traders were relaying their profits to a suspected Rebel contact. Edarcae was wary of the situation, but took the necessary ends to investigate the situation, concluding that the allegations were false, though despite protesting to the Imperial army of his discoveries, various members of the group were harmed and beaten at

the command of the officer who had the suspicions. Fully aware that the art traders were innocent, and sympathetic with those who were harmed due to their older age, Edarcae paused, remembering the stories of the other cadets he had worked with when in the Royal Security Force. Now, after weeks of being worn down, he returned to a different way of thinking - his way of thinking - Edarcae understood that it was best to allow the officer to do as he wished, but was pained to walk away from the situation.
Despite the revelation, he remained in service for another month after the incident, recalling other similar incidents which encompassed outright misjustice and uneeded violence. Eventually, Edarcae applied for a period of leave from active duty, which was accepted without much heed due to his loyalty and continous service. This time he used to return to Serenno, where his now ageing parents had no more interest in him, simply signing over another part of his inheritance and allowing him the items of combat technology, then dismissing his existence. Edarcae spent time on Serenno contemplating, wondering whether to leave the Empire, or just to persevere and try to let things sort themselves out. Realising that the second was not now an option to him, he sent

in a notice of resignation from the family home on Serenno, and waited for a response. Initially, his request was not approved, yet another reply sent soon afterwards overuled the initial denial, and discharged him from service, but warned him where his loyalties should remain.
Satisfied with the move, Edarcae collected his possessions, and headed for Naboo, where he intended to temporarily rent accommodation and renew old friendships. Though now, he felt that he had to do more than sit aside, and felt that although time would be spent on Naboo, time should also be spent in other, new environments where he could best help others. Similarly, he now holds the goal to become involved with the opposite side of the war, and to use what skills he has to fight for what he believes is the truth, not one which he was conditioned to believe. Now publically nicer than before, he had changed for the better and soon used some of his inheritance to rent an apartment in Theed, where he spent a few weeks getting to once again know old friends. With the rest of his inheritance in a bank which he had partially locked to ensure that he did not siphon too much away, he had his Belbullab-22 ship named, and customised to his preference. He also made efforts to obtain the proper licences for weaponry, which were accepted due to being an ex-Imperial. With all set, he now looks to find a way to help a just cause.
Skills
Law
Law has always been one of the prime skills of Edarcae since his younger years, and one of few things which he is quite successful in. Not only he is he well-versed in the subject, he also enjoys making use of his knowledge which provided a positive boost to his studies. Due to his extensive studies, he is aware of multiple different law systems on many planets, and also due to his previous Imperial occupation, he is also knowledgable of most, if not all, Imperial laws and protocols. As such, he is also aware of potential loop-holes and other intricacies.
Combat
Converse to his earlier personality when he was at the academy on Serenno, Edarcae did well in physical exercises, and soon went on to do considerably well in his combat training with the Royal Security Forces on Naboo, and during his time at the Imperial Academy on Corulag. As a consequence, although not at all masterful, he is respectfully skilful in some levels of hand-to-hand combat, and is aware of how to use a range of ordinary weaponry, though mainly standard blaster pistols.
Infiltration
Due to his training in various divisions of the Royal Security Forces of Naboo, Edarcae received some low-grade training in infiltration, which was then further augmented by training in the Imperial Academy for the Imperial Security Bureau. Subsequently, he is quite adroit in infiltration on various different levels. Additionally, his skill in mathematics, the second of his prime skills, is considerably good, and in tune with some programming skills, could be utilised to some effect if attempting to hack computers.
