The Molecular Nano Synthesis Robotic Technology is a new innervation in Cybernetic and Synthetic limbs, manafactured by BinVex Corperation, they are made in "Colonies" each colony containing up to fifty thousand nanites, the number of colonies in a single person depends on what they have had replaced.
The purpose of the Molecular Nano Synthesis Robotic Technology is dependant on what has been replaced however the main function of the Nanites as they are called for short is to act as a replacement for blood within cybernetic limbs, each individual nanite containing a synthetic form of Haemoglobin allowing synthetic and cybernetic limbs to look more life like than they have currently been able to up to this point, by carrying Oxygen to the synthetic skin allowing it look almost lifelike.
As well as this each nanite is able to use building block elements to carry out repairs on damaged parts of the replacement limbs allowing users to not have to keep returning to an engineer to have repairs made to limbs and organs that have been replaced, the only downside of these colonies of Nanites is that it is yet unknown what the side effects are if introduced into the blood stream of a recipient, so there is great care taken in making sure the nanites are secure in their respective limbs and that there is no risk of them leaking into a recpients blood stream.
The Nanites are also capable of broadcasting a very short range signal which allows outside medical specialists to alter the Nanites programming and to get biosigns of those with them.
Each Nanite has a life span of around eight months during this period it will use base block elements recovered from "dead" nanites and from broken or damaged material to rebuild more Nanites, effectively they are a self sustaining colony.
The only downside of the technology is that it is weak to Ion and ElectroMagnetic Blasts, if caught in either the nanites are temporarily shut down, however the synthetic Haemoglobin continues to work, to get the Nanites working again they need to recieve an electrical shock similar to that of a defibrulator.
Nick named "White Blood" because of the nanites appearance of being almost a white form of blood.
The technology has recieved approval from Imperial Medical Liscensing regulatory board to be used on the open market.
Since the Technologies release, the Alliance has been using various organisations to acquire these nanites from BinVex to use within their own medical facilities.
