Thrackan Sal-Solo, the son of Randil Sal and Tiion Solo, was the first cousin of Han Solo. He was a few years older than Han and bore a striking resemblance to the latter. Thrackan even had a voice which corresponded to Han's. Known to the galaxy as a convicted felon, Sal-Solo, despite his vicious crimes, came into power multiple times. As of 5ABY Thrackan's connections had allowed him to become Deputy Diktat of Corellia as well as assuming control of CorSec following it's induction into the Galactic Empire.

During the Galactic Civil War Thrackan would prove a vital to Imperial efforts in destabilising any Rebel activity in the sector and beyond, having been the reason for Alliance Captain Maran's betrayal of the Rebellion at Vreni Island and the formation of the Human League that would aid the Empire's drastic counter-Alien endeavours such as the doctrine, Evils Undone by the Corellian Emancipation by Doctor Ziana Beltrum.

Sal-Solo also aided both the Black Sun and Dead Hand Crime Organisations going so far as issuing a bounty on both Cravon Wolfgang, Sarparious Serpentus, Raedan Kitani and Rhyley Stargazer as well as providing essential information to the workings of Corellia.
